Tony stooped over and picked up a used gum wrapper from the sidewalk on his downtown street corner. He liked to keep his area tidy for the passers-by, liked to think he was doing his little part to improve the world. He’d been raised in a tidy home , in a tidy world and , by heaven, he wasn’t going to give up his upbringing just because some inconsiderate asshole couldn’t pick up their own trash.
“And don’t think you can make me!” Tony yelled aloud at the women walking by his hunched over form, completing his thought.
