Thursday this week was my first brain seizure. Some electrical storm inside my skull… prior, I stood up from my office chair and hugged my wife around her torso… surprised myself to feel an odd-feeling lump on the around her back-side… I looked to find that it was my own LEFT HAND… :stunned:

so that was interesting ..because , ya know, a hug – a “real hug” (at least for me) is usually a two-arm activity. … It was like ONE , my brain forgot there was going to be self-contact… and then TWO, my body was not detecting the left hand sensation of the right-hand clasping it, or even touching the skin.

Even now —many hours later I must admit it ! as I try to use the Windows keyboard to type this entry, I must frquently, physically look down to connect the finger to the letter in order to achieve anything near a 65% “brain intention – to character-on-the-screen success ratio!” ….

And this is a MOTOR CONTROL skill I first began practicing in 1981 (when I go a Commodore Vic20, and continued to refine during a keyboarding elective course in Junior Hi , and all through my college programming courses … and on — – up until back-to-work after the holidays Tuesday January 2, 2023… when shit started to slip through the fingers… (where shit can be defined as, coffee cup falling over, occaisional napkin, and of course the characters predominantly on the left-side of the keybord for example exclamation point ! and espsically the lower, left including “”c”, “x”, and “v”…. Now there is some who would say the “b” key is a left-hand get , (IBM Selectric school of training) but according to others (Microsoft early typing guides, it should be a right-hand strike… I guess I’ll get practicing…

HELL – they may ALL become right-hand keystrokes !!!
