WAHCLELLA WOLRDS
Falling
Thunder’s Song
An Awashing
FREEDOM’S FALL
A World in this One
A Wonder of EARTH
An atmosphere of mist
hovering
in worlds of falling water
Wahclella Falls
An awashing of grime
(leaving)
the files of metropolitan life
(for truth)
Giving
eternally
all that nature needs
In harmony pour
Swirling worlds of windswept vapor
defying the pouring torrent
as they billow high
<<<scintillating sun plays, dancing fire on the hopping water’s top>>>
Oh! Great giver of God’s Eyes!
Maker of Earth’s Music
Creator of Poems
I feel your thunder
and embrace your glorious song
I, watcher of wonders
and audience of delight
revel in your body
-the canyon carved from your flow
-the en-moss-ed rock encasing your rythyms
-the providence of echo to your voice
Oh! Water! The lifeblood of life, blood of Earth
I swoon at your ceaseless caress
and remain enchanted,
enchanted by your turbulent serenity
Perched atop my spot
letting time cascade on. . .
As the pull of your own Earth Blood
to the pool below
So am I Time’s Fool
to the drawing lull of your beckoning lullaby
<<<And the sun turns its face, making one last vapor world, and then away! taking all trace of the spray and the fire dances off, elsewhere to play>>>
[And you –
fellow hiker behind, who has trekked so far to view such wonderment
and to feel the vapors on your skin
and to know Thunder’s Song –
You too become part of the play
as your voice struggles to reach me
Washed away to scattered syllables on the crests of the roar
No match for Wahclella’s Rain
Do you know the truth of this beauty?
Can you?
As your appearance
and departure
Are so swiftly made?]
