One organ for thinking that is able to be remaked upon.
I hope I am not unusual, but by accounts my tale is at least not average. All my life people have told me that I am “above-average” in smarts – a 3rd grade IQ test that demonstrated genius results, straight “A” grades in public school (at least until I started smoking), I still fondly recall a senior year English term paper declaring ‘this works shows gray matter of a superior quality’ (Thanks, Mrs. Hartley), and finally my blend of music, computer, and health pursuits have shown interests and depths that mirror those folks who could be deemed “not of the norm”.
FRIDAY MAY 12, 2023
The best news : There are no visible signs of tumorous growth on the MRI results!
Docs says I have a “remarkable brain” with nothing at all interesting to look at or discuss. . . which is more good news, considering the same imaging only four months prior showed visible cancer cells of the GLIOBLASTOMA MULTIFORME type. The neuro-oncologist went on to explain that it is common to experience increased agitation after seizure – with or without an increase in medication so while my wife and I had been blaming the doubled Keppra quantity (from 1500 to 3000 milligrams) on my irritability & near-manic moodiness , apparently it is more likely the Sunday APR 16, 2023 brain seizures (3 in a day!).
As I left the appointment the doctor made sure to encourage me with “Your Job, Joseph, is to keep that brain remarkable!”
